Springdale, Utah is nestled between the towering canyon walls of Zion National Park at the southwest entrance to the Park.  The town sits on the canyon floor through which the Virgin River has carved its path, affording the community towering trees providing shelter from the desert heat of the summer and lush vegetation that delights the senses.  This quaint and charming town allows visitors to relax and step into vacation mode the minute they arrive.  There's not a stoplight to be found and most visitors park their car and ride the complimentary shuttle that runs throughout the town during the peak season.

Springdale offers an array of lodging facilities from delightful bed and breakfast establishments to economical motels and campgrounds as well as full service luxury hotels.  Many have been noted as some of southwest, Utah's finest places to stay.

Dining opportunities are equally diverse ranging from burger joints, pizza and diner style establishments to gourmet restaurants boasting professionally trained owner/chefs.  There's even a well stocked grocery store for those who want to pack a picnic lunch or restock their camping supplies.

There are many activities available whether a visitor wants a serious athletic experience, a less strenuous adventure or to simply lounge on a deck or poolside and simply enjoy the breathtaking views, beautiful blue skies and fresh air.  Activities include hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, canyoneering, biking and river tubing.  There's a delightful array of gift shops and galleries to explore.  Other favorite activities include photographing the spectacular sunrises and sunsets, attending a concert, lecture or workshop or simply strolling down Zion Park Boulevard during the evening and gazing at the majestic night sky.

Springdale is centrally located in close proximity to other southern Utah attractions, making it the perfect place to stay while seeing other sites in the area.  Other nearby attractions besides Zion National Park include:  Bryce National Park, the Grand Canyon, Coral Cliffs Sand Dunes, Best Friends Sanctuary (the largest no kill animal sanctuary in the United States), Cedar Breaks National Monument and the nationally acclaimed Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, Utah.
